Exerpt from Kristina’s story in the book – On The Bridge To Healing

“When I was four and a half, my mom had another nervous breakdown. I remember her lying on the kitchen floor, on her stomach, banging her head and her fists on the floor saying, “I just want to die.” I don’t know who called 911, but the police came and took her. We rode in an ambulance to the hospital then the Department of Social Service’s put us into our first foster home. I was terrified, but I never told anyone. I think this was the beginning of me becoming numb emotionally and repressing my feelings. I don’t remember much about that foster home, except for when I got chicken pox….”  To read more Click Here
